I was doing them up to the advised torque and they weren't cheap bits either. You may be able to get a higher torque before the bit slips because of the better shaper but I also found torque bits to be a lot more flexy than hex bits. I got a quarter of a turn of twist on a torx bit before, put some goggles on after seeing that thinking that it was going to snap on me
