• One pair of wheels made of Campagnolo Omega V Hardox with MAVIC 501 HUBS. Also included is a close ratio freewheel that was only used for 200 miles.
The wheels are like new with less then 200 miles of riding. Photos speak for themselves.
I would like £125 picked up from London. I can also ship in the UK.

    130mm OLD and 126m OLD
They are spaced for 130mm OLD but can be used with 126mm with the spacers removed. The mavic rear hub has these great screw in spacers that allow you to do that. all you need is an allen key.
The bearings are so smooth. the wheels spin free for ever. try it for yourself.
    Free tubes and tyres.

Wheels how they looked on the bike.

  • Will the rear fit 130mm dropouts?

    How much do they weigh?

  • Yes they are 130mm OLD. but can be used with 126mm frames with the screw in spacers removed. Smart.

  • I'll take the whole bike. Thank you gladly.

  • What are the options in terms of cassette?

I've no knowledge of the Mavic stuff.

I'd be interested if an 8 speed Campag cassette would fit easily?

  • That looks like Shimano to me though...

  • Aren't they screw on?

  • I don't know- I've only ever run Shimano, Suntour and SRAM, and recently only Shimano/SRAM.

The Campag stuff is not on my bike.

  • They are screw on. You can put an 8 speed freewheel on it. I will include a 7 speed though.

  • For information: the later 501 rear hub axles had a 4mm spacer that screwed into the axle itself. You could remove it to give you the 126 fitment.
Despite what many say about not using an 8 speed freewheel in terms of strength/rigidity I'd run one with a Sachs freewheel no problem.
The 501s are some of the best quality fhubs you'll get :o)

  • Thanks for the info Mr. Bump.
They are 130mm but you can unscrew the spacers and use them with 126mm frames. It comes with a 7 speed sachs freewheel but can be changed to 8 speed really cheap.
For people that want to run this with 8speed instead of 7 you can read about the sachs freewheels here.
They work with Campagnolo and Shimano indexed systems.

I found someone selling an 8speed sachs freewheel for £15.

I'll take the whole bike. Thank you gladly.

The whole bike was for sale a few weeks ago and there was no interest for it complete. People wanted parts of it, so sadly it went.

It all depends if you are a fat ass like me or not. I am too heavy presumably and keep bending my rear freewheel hub axles... even when used at 126mm spacing, and with a 5 speed only bloc!
Now I have to say that one of my wheels has a mavic rear hub, not as nice as this one though, and I had not problems so far...

    Beautiful set of wheels!
