All transactions on this forum are paid for in beers and/or manhugs.
..... errrr, girl hugs??
I think the seller is in Wales, a little bit far from N16 for a beer in their local!

Think I'd better post here first.
Hello all, I'm Andy from Salford, I ride a Boardman hybrid atm so thought this was the ideal forum to join...
Actually been lurking here since before the DD11, got loads of (mis)info, and stuck with it.
WLTM anyone from town, interests include etc. BTW, I'm not bubbly.

I see what you did there, it's just a cunning ploy to get twice as many hugs from girls! Rumbled!

Good day guys!

It is a good day, im dutifully lusting over the classifieds section with an aye for a frameset.
There's a couple that take my fancy. This will be my first track/road bike after having primarily took wheels off road and in the air for the past 20 years.
Nearly 24 hours till i can send pm's... fair enough really. Frustrating but fair. Especially when inquiring about a for sale add.

i registered in june, have 5 posts on my counter. the problem is "you have no permission to view this page"
the problem with the bike is -
its a new fuji classic track, smallish one with 650c wheels.
it arrived from evans with a proper fixed rear hub.
she thought it will be flip-flop, allowing to be riding with a free-gear too, but its not.
it is possible to adapt this hub to be free-gear single speed one?
if is not, what are the options - rebuild the wheel with a new hub? (any affordable shop around leyton/hackney)?
get a new wheel (where?)plus the big problem is that she has a day off tomorrow and want to try new bike.... aparently shes scared of riding fixed.
cheers for help

Am pretty sure you cannot use a fixed hub to run freewheel.
Options; sell that wheel on here and buy a new flip flop wheel, possibly off here too. Or see if anyone wants to swap. Might be a bit trickier being a 650 wheel but you never know. If you wanted to re-build it there are loads of bike shops in Hackney.
You should be able to start a thread tomorrow once your nursery period ends; if not PM Velocio or Hippy and ask them.
If she is going to ride freewheel make sure the bike has 2 brakes. EDIT: pic clearly shows a rear brake.
And see if she can try riding fixed in the meantime, it is really not so hard, an hour or two of practice in the park or a quiet side street and it all comes naturally. At least until she gets a new wheel and has the option of free or fixed.
how do you actually buy stuff off people here, just dibs it then message them?
