disagree. after reading lots of conversion in uk and europe, people have no trouble sourcing engines/parts. 2nd hand engine and box from states/canada 2-3k, inc ancillaries, loom etc.
engine is as light as rover v8 and similar size. you would do exactly the same chassis work as that, only tunnel would need a bit of massaging with hammer.
several LSx tuners in uk, you'd be surprised. if not mail-order tune from aus/us..
