• To celebrate Glasgow's inaugural Harris Tweed Ride we commissioned a special build with Lee Muir of Re-cycle Cycles to be auctioned, with proceeds of the sale going to our chosen charity, the Linda Norgrove Foundation.

The resulting bike is a super-light (8kg) fixed gear with bespoke Harris Tweed finishes to the saddle, bar grips and toe straps.

All components are in excellent condition and the build is of extremely high quality.

This is a unique bike and we hope it finds a unique owner who will ride and appreciate her for years to come.

• ~~It's ***either ***on ebay or it's on here.

Not both.

Just saw all proceeds were going to charity.

In which case I'm sure it's fine, and good luck with the sale.

• One thing I'd suggest is taking out all of the waffle in the middle.

Most ppl on here want the top tube and seat tube length, make and model of frame, condition. No one needs to know the the rear brake is a “Tektro Long Reach Dual Pivot Calliper for Fender Clearance with removable cartridge brake pads, Stainless Hardware, Teflon Bushings”

It has Tektro brakes. Same with the wheelset. It is a standard wheelset, nothing more. No description of the spokes is necessary.

• I love Harris Tweed and want that saddle!

• well done to the op for creating something unique and interesting

but ....... three people and 4 critical posts in the thread already
way to go peeps
maybe you should just be thinking those things rather than posting them in the thread

it's not to late however to delete those posts and put up something more positive ? then i can delete my negative post and not look such a hypocrite !

• Time to remind myself that this is to raise money for charity, and I wish the OP all the best in raising as much as possible. Hope it goes well!

• Isn't that Herringbone?

• 7/8
percentages aren't getting any better !

• I hope it makes some money for charity. Good luck.

• awesome saddle and bartape

• Sorry about all the tech gubbins, none of it makes sense to me anyway but the bike builder included the info so thought it might be useful.

The Harris Tweed is dark grey and white Herringbone from the Shawbost Mill on the Isle of Lewis. There's a black n gold centenary Orb label on the seat to certify it's the real deal.

54cm frame, condition is pretty immaculate, any other Q' I'll find the answers for you...

• Thanks for the interest, if you're interested in any Harris Tweed custom parts in future then drop us a line at harristweedride@mail.com.

• Lovley bike? Would you sell it for 250? I saw it didn't meet the reserve at £200.
