^ I'd be interested to see your John o Groats to Lands End route when you finalise it, if possible.
Me and some friends thinking about doing this ride next year but being a Londoner for the last 18 years my knowledge of that bit north of Watford is a bit vague.
Also i hate sat navs in cars but after seeing some people with cycling garmins in recent rides, especially night rides, I have been well impressed with them so may have to invest in one of those for the trip so would be interested to hear how the garmin goes on this trip, battery life, charging times etc.
