looking good folks. a reminder to all about this route. flatish but easy to get strung out. need for discipline when it comes to riding off the front. in a word don't do it. the first ten miles is single file with enough car action to get annoying if they stack up due to our riding 2 abreast (no jokes here phnar). if you hear the shout of car back pass it on and make sure everyone is singled up. we're also going reverse so any splits in the pack could prove time consuming and last time we did this a few of us missed the train because of one puncture and we had laid down good time so there really isn't a lot of slack out there.
I see the numbers managed to creep up to 21. as there will be approx 18 on the train make sure you get there in plenty of time, get your tickets sorted and be ready to board when it comes up so we can get in the doors (2 max Ludwig) before the commuters. the train is plenty long enough but it needs to be done properly. tip up with 5 minutes to go and you'll be trying to squeeze your bike on the carriage when the doors are already full with commuters who won't be pleased to see you.
@mschris - Jonny's going to pm you about the lights. meanwhile read post 1. -

Okay, so I'm in, as I can actually make that train, but if anyone has a spare bright light that would be sweet. I'll bring what I can, but they're not epicly bright.
Have a spare Hope or Fenix if you are still not sorted - will bring to Liv St just in case.

can someone bring a spoke key please...

Well that lasted long. Noticed some juddering under braking whilst riding last night and I's got a loose headset. Not sure if it just needs tightening or replacing but either way I took the train into work. Had nothing to do with the rain.

excuse my persistance...but is there a later train with more riders?
BBMF and shoots seem to be in a later one, is that because you are meant to catch up the pelotón on-the-go?I'm aiming to get the 19:13... in case, are there riders cacthing a later one?

I need grab teh bike from East so will ease the train situ and ride out. However, if i'm not at Roydon when you arrive, i'm enjoying another bike ridey loopy thingy in solitude.

That'd be awesome. I have two lights which are decently bright, but never been country night riding with them so I'm not certain they are bright enough. I would be much obliged if I could borrow your extra.

excuse my persistent thickness...but is there a later train with more riders?
BBMF and shoots seem to be in a later one, is that because you are meant to catch up the pelotón on-the-go?I'm getting the 19.28 cos' I can't get there for the earlier one. I am not looking for, or expecting the early group to wait. As they'll only be about 15 mins ahead, I expect to join them at some point on the road. BringBack(?)is most likely to be on the train after me.
None of the above is set in stone.

BBMF and shoots seem to be in a later one, is that because you are meant to catch up the pelotón on-the-go?I'm getting the 19h33 or 19h48 to Chingford, and then riding at a fairly brisk pace on my 79" phuckseh bike. Sean may be joining me. I'm guessing shoots too, as there is no train to Roydon at 19h33.
According to the list, the later train to Roydon is 19h43, but this is bollocks, asduh! they leave at 19h13, 19h28, and 19h58.I'd assume it's only the 19h13 to Roydon (with a few awkward people going to Chingford, and planning to average >20mph, and not waiting for anyone).

IOW deluxe is set for Tuesday the 23rd of August. list to start soon.
-
• #3371
Are you talking a cross purposes? Shoots: if you're heading to Roydon check your train time it should be 19.28.
Diappo; sounds like this is the train you want too (tho you wont get any groupsave action if there's just the two of you)
BMMF is going somewhere completely different at a different time.
I'm going to the pub.

Fucking cunts. I can't get the day after off. No way I can work with no sleep [/joesmiff]
-
• #3373
What a fucking shambles. I'm going to have to take control of the next ride/list, for the sake of the children.
-
• #3374
Will do, Sean.
Are you sending the light ahead with the group if you're riding the 'late train' with BMMF?Errr. Maybe. I'll see what I can sort out. Otherwise I'll just drop by earlier.
Unless someone else has a hope to lend?

what is so confusing? this is a bread and butter ride.
might be doing this brakless or geared... but not both.
