and lest we forget, Spurs had reached a level where they could compete only to have Man City come in and buy their position in the league.
Spurs, like Arsenal went about it the right way. If the Council had been as accommodating to Spurs as Islington had been to Arsenal, then Spurs would have already broken ground on the new stadium development long before any bid for the Olympic stadium arose.
It doesn't take a Sheikh or and oligarch to get up the league, just like it didn't take floating on the stock exchange for Man Utd to affirm their position.
