For Sale: Three Rolls Saddles £25 each

Hi this is my first for sale. I hope to make more sales in the future.

A friend told me about the site.

I've referred to the saddles as #1, #2 & #9, because those are the numbers on the QC labels on the underside.

Which saddle is which? They look to be in different levels of condition are they all £25? Not that I want one but just for clarification.

The saddles are in numerical order. #1, #2 & #9. I tried to put titles on, but they didn't come up on the post. They are in different conditions. #2 is much lighter in colour and has two patches of grainy leather, which looks quite good if you like that sort of thing. #1 & #9 are darker and more even in texture.

£15 max for tatty rolls and thats still a rip off. I am not offering either.

#1 and # 9 look good. £20 to £25 for a not-bad-nick Rolls is a good deal. What's your beef man?

It was me who said they were worth roughly what he is asking.... To be fair, in my opinion, 1 & 3 are worth more with #3 being fair..... You could always make an offer? He has a lovely stash of vintage bits from years of collecting/building/riding...... Don't scare him away now as I'm sure more is to come as he is emigrating soon to the US and can't take it all with him. I can vouch for him as a very nice bloke..... His Merckx would go straight into porn, by the way ;0)

jeremy, you really need photos of each from all angles, showing any scuffs or tears.

Generally if a Rolls is in clean condition, with no scuffs or tears £20-25 is a good price.

If there is a little tear of scuffing on the corner, you're looking more like £12-18.

Are Rolls rated as good saddles? Ive only just started riding but my saddle is a nightmare because its a second hand bike anyhow.

I use them on 2 of my bikes, but saddles are a very personal thing.

Right, it's taken me hours to resize all the photos, upload them to photobucket and work out the link.
For clarification the saddles are offered at £25 each + £2.50 p&p. I have boxes of parts that I've collected over 40 years of cycling and my friend said you would be interested in these saddles. I always felt they were the best saddles available at the time, and although not the lightest, were apparently the choice of the professionals. I put them on all my bikes when I could afford them. I'm moving abroad and not desperate to sell as I have somewhere to store good bits. It is just a suitable time to rationalise what I have and find out if anyone could make use of these parts while I'm away.
