Wanted: Housing Needed for Team Berlin Aug 2nd

If you haven't heard me bang on about this ride before then myself and a group of other 'hardy' cyclists are doing an epic 900 mile mission Birmingham - Berlin via a spectacular series of other 'B' towns to raise money for Cancer Research. We are riding Birmingham to London on the 2nd August and need somewhere to stay on the evening, preferably beginning with B but we can get imaginative with that and ideally somewhere South...hit us with your best!

There must be some of the Brockley Massiv' willing to oblige?

I would oblige, but I'm N-W and can only fit 2-3 comfortably.
Guess that the 5 amigos will be wanting to stay fairly close together.

Hope so... Thanks for the thought anyway, I can stay in Hackney but yes would definitely prefer for us all to be together/close by!

If you guys don't mind paying, I could ask my old boss, he manages a couple of student halls, and last time I checked, they charged something like 60 for a studio flat / night. They usually only allow 2 people in the studio flat, but I could ask. It should be big enough for the whole team. There is one is Southwark, 5 mins to waterloo. Or do a little search around student halls, some open as hostels in the summer and usually quite cheap.

I'd prefer not to lady if I'm being honest. We know enough people in London to separate if necessary. Think we should save our money for when we get out of England/encounter any problems along the way! We've already put a hell of a lot of our own money into this so want to keep costs down. Thanks though.

Suppose it wouldn't be much between all of us but still think it would be better to stay with friends! Let's wait and see what comes up.

Let me ask the questions tomorrow. My ex boss might say no or it might be booked. Will let you guys know if it's ok and you can decide later on. :-)

Yep studio does sound good, we can just all bed down on the floor then in the morning pretend we all live together like the monkees or hanson (depending on your age).

The bed can fit 3 people, trust me I have tried, and there is rather big dinning table fo 1 and a 6fts long desk for the remaining 1. No floor needed. Anyway I shall shut up now and not let this thread get too long with chatty.

I've got my house to myself that week and live in Tottenham/N17...not the most central of places but there's a spare double bed for two of you and a couple of airbeds for the other 3. Might be a bit of a squeeze, but it'll be free!
