  • Ordered my Steamroller today.

    now we wait...

  • I bought a Creamroller off a friend, who had put some carbon forks on it and doesn't have the originals. Any suggestions as to where I could get a pair of nice (not Carbon) Forks for it? Will post photo's soon.

  • Why would you run a carbon fork? SRS (besides weight)

  • for comfort perhaps? maybe stiffness?

  • have a set of pacer forks.......if you want steel surly forks

  • thread ends

  • The length of your legs will only give you an almost right idea about which size you need. But your reach dictates at a higher priority.

Aye. I have long arms and frames with the same length seat tube and tt give me a pain. There's only so much you can do with longer stems and seat-post layback.

  • .

    ?

  • Did a short 40km test run, carradice (camper longflap) did hit the wheel after some bumps, now doing fine after redoing the setup (the low attachment thingie is now through the saddle rails, not seatpost, so the bag sits up higher.) Works like a charm now, although im suprised by how much adding a bag full of stuff changes how the bike feels.

  • Here is mine. Old picture from last spring. I have only added a front brake.

  • Does anyone on here own a cream steamroller with greenish colour oddysey twisted pedals?

    Get a Bagman rack, then your problem will be solved, hell it doesn't swing at all when cornering;

  • Aah. So THAT'S where those straps go (at the top of the bag). When mine arrived with my lowsaddle longflap I thought they were spares :-).

  • Here we go:

Not the best picture. Should give it some proper shooting some time.

Some parts weren't intended to be put on to it. So far, some ordered parts (seat post & stem) are still missing.
Currently, the steerer is still uncut and try to be patient for the shorter stem to arrive. Once mounted, I'll start experimenting with lower levels.
And, oh well, the frame has got it's first dent. Don't know how that happened, and it isn't really noticeable.
Ah yeah, the stickers are still ment to go. Just haven't found the courage to do it yet, though. :-)

@mez - the decals are just stickers right, what did you do to get rid of the sticky stuff left behind?

  • Well, aclohol really.

  • Always when I see such pictures (snow + slicks (okay, Gatorskins aren't really slickey, but haven't got knobbies either)) makes me wonder how it can be possible to combine...

Just wonder, and guess that will be best answered when I give it a go in a January snow day.

  • i've ran gatorskins 4 seasons for a 2 winters now, they work fine and the few days of snow we get i just don't lean

  • If it snows this winter I'll be putting my pair of these on my steamroller (assuming it ever arrives!)

massive overkill but they were an impulse buy last year so may as well use em.

  • Marathon Winter? only overkill for the next 50 weeks.

  • Do a skid in those and you will ruin the tarmac.

  • Marathon Winter? only overkill for the next 50 weeks.

and lots of fun for the remaining two.

  • Just put riser bars on mine.
Looks sexier and still rides a treat
