8500 is a bargain. they are twice that much retail
you can get 2 canvas sacks for that fit the 2 halfs. about £80 iirc
those tyres look like 500A size.I wish you could lock the suspension when climbing. You lose so much energy in it compressing.
oh the ebay one - it's a new series - you can lock it out.
with the other type of suspension you could do what i do on mine - you fit a stiffer spring and then tighten the front adjusters by 0.5 a turn.
and ref climbing anyway - I don't have probs... shrug I've ridden them for quite a while now tho.

Moulton lent a few of these to the company I work for to try out.... they were so horrible to ride it is unreal. Bouncing around all over the shop as soon as you get out of the saddle... absouloutley shocking.
Had a Super Record 11 speed groupset on it too... WTF is that all about??assuming you're Oxford based that'll be the Moulton Speed.
It's stunning. I'm riding one soon.
(50/14 loved it)

Nope, based in Battersea.
No idea what model it was.... I only rode it for 20 minutes, then gave it back and walked away in disgust. -

Hah, 20 minutes! of course you're going to walk away in digusted, you'd probably do the same if handed a Brompton.

Lots of topic about moulton but barely a single one about transporting it.
my suitcase end up being a tad too small annoyingly enough and it's even more fustrating that there's barely any information about getting a suitcase for it!

While I liked the Moulton, climbing was hard work and a deal breaker to me, I put it down to either the small wheel rotational mass being very small, or simply the suspension being quite, well, dramatic.
Is there's a way to get them stiffer? preferably both front and rear, it's a pity as I enjoyed the Moulton, but not while climbing.

100% agree with climbing on the moulton is a waste of energy. I think it all goes in the front suspension. It would be nice to be able to lock it like some mtb forks.

ISTR you have a TSR30.
I have the Moulton Speed front spring in mine that is a lot stiffer and dual rate. The Moulton factory have them in stock. You can pop round and try mine out before deciding if you want!

I had the TSR30, it was surprisingly easy to keep my speed up in general even laden, but once I hit a hill, it's difficult to keep it straight, especially when I can't exactly get up and sprint.
I have to says though that the Moulton suspension was spot on at a certain RPM, especially on the descent where it feel really stable, even at 40mph down the Yorkshire Dale.
I was wondering if such option to stiffen the suspension exist, I notice that the front have a bolt that look like a possibilities of stiffen it but there's surprisingly few information about it when googling it.

in the manual read the bits about tightening the front outer bolts on the front suspension bar - this increases the damping - this may help you.
For a proper change in the suspension - change the spring - this isn't hard and is worthwhile for fast road riding.

Alright Pashley appear to forget to included a manual with mine, will need to find one to download.
I'll have to give it a try on some steep hill to see how it is, barely any in London, apart from the very short but steep one in Wimbledon.
