  • apologies! not hugely familiar on the rules...

  • it's not a rule mate, it's generally idea to look before you leap y'know.

    it's a good ride though.

  • Fantastic turnout and I absolutely concur with you Skydancer ^^
    Let's hope we achieved SOMETHING.

    Photo 66 of 93 is me, nice to meet you all! A

  • "I'll have another brandy, thanks"

  • 'Flashride'... This could be a great development! Well done all who went. I was there in spirit.

  • btw ufrasia that link is crap. fyi.

  • That was a radical ride. Cars don't have a place in central london. Bikes, feet and public transport are solutions to the problems. CM after was huge and I met some great people...not normally my cuppa anymore but yes... tonight bikes and their drivers won.

  • that bloke ask me to upload this, i'm just putting it here so Borat can find it.

    and i forget to upload this in the main, this is my vision of the future, ordinary people riding on the road in different kind of bicycle and clothing;

  • I think we should do this regularly. It was great. I think for those ones like me who uses the bridge to work should meet up every morning and evening and do the same thing. Anyone doing the Monday morning one?

  • I was there (sort of). Rode South to North around 6.47 when the group was riding north to south so kinda missed it, plus I was late meeting someone (was going to get there earlier and join the ride). Anyway I was another bike on the bridge so I guess that counts.

  • Just a thought, could one use personal safety as a reason to start cycling on the pavement on the bridge if the speed limit goes up to 30mph and the cycle lane gone?

    Not really how do you. Think people managed in the past when there's no cycle lane? Just ride on the road, good thing though is that you can able to ride in the primary position and not pissed motorists off because you're not on the cycle lane (which I get a lots on the CS7).

    Downside though is the new design make cyclist less visible with little error room to compensate.

  • Well done to all who turned out. For once, I couldn't make it. Be aware that 20mph is only the first step here, as an easy-to-achieve measure on top of what is a deeply flawed design--better than what was there before, to be sure, but way, way off the mark still. There needs to be a total rethink at regional government level of how to design such spaces. We'll say more about that soon.
