Just the condition of the house, public areas, location/immediate neighbours really- I think you would be challenged to find anything for the same money, let alone something nice.
Average rents are around the £500 per room mark, with no guarantee of what you are going to get in terms of luncatic housemates, burglarious neighbours and so forth.
