• Hi everyone,
I’ve just sorted out three excellent lo-pro frames. Shipping on frames within the UK will be £11 - other items can ship free of charge in the same box. I can ship anywhere in the world at a reasonable cost.

    ALL ITEMS ARE IN BRISTOL

Unless specifically described I do not guarantee headsets or BBs which are fitted to frames. With all frames I can fit headsets or BBs - headset fitting costs £12; please see my latest headset thread:

    http://www.lfgss.com/thread53572.html

for details of what is available.

Payment can be via bank transfer (preferred), cheque or the dreaded Paypal which costs me 3%…

** If you dib an item, please PM me and pay the same day unless you make other arrangements with me. Otherwise it may well be sold to the next person who wants it...**

Viewing/Personal collection is welcome as quite a few have found and have been able to get other parts they are looking for at the same time.

    ALAN LAUGHTON ROAD FRAME c1985
    Seat Tube (ctt): 19.5in (49.5cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 20in (51cm)
    Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 50mm
Frame Tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
    Seatpost size: 26.8mm
This is a rather nicely built road frame from the 1980s which is almost as small as is possible with 700C wheels. The paint is in sound condition and the horizontal dropouts make it suitable for a fixed or singlespeed conversion. £89

    TOM AVON ROAD FRAME c1982
    Seat Tube (ctt): 22in (56cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 48mm
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Tom Avon was a Bristol based framebuilder operating in the 1980s. This frame has had one owner from new and is in excellent condition – just the tubing decals have been damaged. The original owner thought that he had probably only ridden it on a few occasions – it certainly looks as if that is the case. £189

CLAUD BUTLER ELECTRON ROAD FRAME 1970s
    Seat Tube (ctt): 24in (61cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C/sprints with brake drop of 65mm
    Seatpost size: 26.4mm
This Claud Butler Electron road frame from the 1970s is probably built from Reynolds 531 tubing; it certainly has Reynolds 531 forks. Its in very good condition; there are a number of marks to the paint but nothing too obtrusive and would be great as a fixed or singlespeed conversion. £65

    DIAMOND BACK MOMENTUM c1992
    Seat Tube (ctt): 20.5in (52cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 21.5in (55cm)
    Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 45mm
    Seatpost size: 27.0mm
Frame tubing: Tange Infinity double butted
The is a really quite a nice road frame from the early 1900s - the paint is useable but has quite a number of marks etc. It has vertical dropouts so would not be ideal as a conversion but it would make an excellent budget road bike able to use the latest components. £59

ORBIT GOLD MEDAL ROAD FRAME 1980s New Old Stock
    Seat Tube (ctt): 21in (53cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 21.5in (55cm)
    Rear dropout width: 125mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 62mm
This Orbit road frame from the 1980s has never been used or built up. Its probably built from Reynolds 531 tubing and is in excellent condition with just a small mark or two to the paint. It would make a very easy fixed or singlespeed conversion. £120

DE MAYO RENOVATED ROAD FRAME c1986
    Seat Tube (ctt): 22.5in (57cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 21.5in (55cm)
    Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 48mm
    Seatpost size: 27.0mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
This frame which is of unknown origins has been renovated by Chas Mayo of De Mayo frames. The frame originates from the 1980s I think; Chas May was quite a perfectionist and I am sure he would only have renovated good quality frames... It has vertical dropouts so would not be ideal as a conversion but it would make an excellent road bike. The paint is in excellent condition. £85

DAWES HARLEQUIN ROAD FRAME c1986 Lovely lugless construction
    Seat Tube (ctt): 21in (53cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C/sprints with brake drop of 62mm
    Seatpost size: 26.8mm
This Dawes lugless frame is really a rather attractive frame under the poor paint. The lugless fillet brazing is quite neat and it would look really quite cool if powder coated. The horizontal dropouts make it ideal for a singlespeed or fixed conversion. £49

COYOTE ALUMINIUM ROAD FRAME c1994 Excellent lightly used
Seat Tube: 22.5in (57cm) centre to top of top tube, 23.5in (59cm) centre to top of seat tube
    Top Tube (ctc): 22.5in (57cm)
    Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 45mm
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
    Frame tubing: 7000 series aluminium
This a good quality aluminium road frame from the 1990s which has been lightly used. It has vertical dropouts so would not be ideal as a conversion but it would make an excellent budget road bike able to use the latest components. £65

CLAUD BUTLER CHALLENGE ROAD FRAME Early 1960s
    Seat Tube (ctt): 23.5in (59cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 22.5in (57cm)
    Rear dropout width: 115mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 65mm
    Seatpost size: 26.2mm
    Frame tubing: Reynolds 531
This a Claud Butler Challenge road frame which dates from the early 60s the Challenge model was in the catalogues from 1959-1965. Its in really quite nice condition though the paint has quite a number of marks. It will make an easy fixed or singlespeed conversion. £75

CLAUD BUTLER SIERRA TOURING FRAME c1986
    Seat Tube (ctt): 21.5in (55cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 21.5in (55cm)
    Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C/sprints with brake drop of 60mm
    Seatpost size: 26.6mm
This Claud Butler touring frame was built I think around 1985–6; it has mounts on the rear stays for a rear rack. The paint is quite attractive though it has a few rather serious marks... These could be improved greatly by careful touching up. An excellent touring frame that could also be easily used as a fixed or singlespeed conversion. £85

  • dibs on claud butler touring frame pending question

  • I just bought a similarly aged Claud Butler Electron for a friend. It's got 531 forks, but the frame's plain gauge tubing with a 26.4 seatpost. Still a very nice bike though.

  • love that coyote.

  • 3rd dibs on the Claud Butler Sierra Touring Frame just in case

  • Dibs on the Alan Laughton.

  • second dibs on the Coyote..
Let me know if iower pulls out.

  • thanks to whoever bought the alan loughton out from under me :/

  • The Alan Laughton was sold to another LFGSS member yesterday morning...

And the De Mayo is still available, mat46 made a stupid offer

  • It would be polite to reply Hilary rather just post here. Don't think an offer of £75 posted is to stupid? Fair perhaps.

  • You're expecting a discount of 25%?

  • To be honest I expected a counter offer and deal. It's not like I bidded £50 or ewt, it was a reasonable offer.
