I can ship anywhere in the world at a reasonable cost.

ANDY POWELL TRACK BIKE c1983 ex Paul Curran
    Seat Tube (ctt): 20.5in (52cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 20.5in (52cm)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
    Wheel size: 700C
    Frame tubing: Reynolds 753
This track bike was built for Paul Curran and ridden by him. Paul Curran was an exceptionally talented road and track rider from the 1980s/90s winning two gold medals at the Commonwealth Games, 28 National Championship Gold medals plus lots more. There’s a lot more on Paul Curran at http://www.paulcurran.ndo.co.uk/ This frame was built by Andy Powell of Overbury Cycles in Bristol from Reynolds 753 tubing. Judging by the 753 decal it dates from the 1983–5 period and I would guess he used it for pursuiting, team time trials and maybe points races. Its exceptionally light as built – around the 15lb mark. Its built with Campag Record track cranks which have have had their corners rounded off and polished, Mavic 24H track hubs on Mavic GP4 rims, 3TTT bars and stem, Shimano XTR seatpost (which has been shortened) and Vetta SL saddle. The seat post/saddle combination is wonderfully light yet will be super reliable... I could if wanted swap the wheels for the Campagnolo Record large flange ones listed separately below with a price adjustment if they are still unsold. This is one really special track bike which I think will ride quite superbly. £495

    VIKING TRACK FRAME 1960s
    Seat Tube (ctt): 21in (53cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 21.25in (54cm)
    Rear dropout width: 112mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 55mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
This Viking track frame dates I think from the early 1960s. Its in very sound condition but could probably do with a repaint – I am not certain the forks are original but they are certainly of the correct pattern. A great opportunity to get a track frame at a bargain price... £135

    TED GERRARD TRACK FRAME 1961
    Seat Tube (ctt): 21in (53cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 21.5in (55cm)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 700C/sprints with brake drop of 54mm
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
The is a very nice Ted Gerrard road track frame from 1961. Ted Gerrard’s shop was in the same premises where Shorters are now in Woodhouse Lane, Finchley. This frame had had a stuck seatpost which somebody had tried to pry out with a screwdriver and split the back of the seat tube - I’ve had a new 531 seat tube put in and the frame just needs painting. Its a really nicely made frame possibly from Wally Green’s workshop in Colindale/Hendon. £145

    DOUG PINKERTON TRACK FRAME 2004
    Seat Tube (ctt): 17.5in (45cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 18in (46cm)
    Rear dropout width: 110mm
    Wheel size: Sprints/700C
    Frame tubing: Columbus Zeta
This is a Doug Pinkerton track frame built in 2004 from Columbus Zeta tubing and is for use with 700C wheels and I am certain short cranks … probably 150mm. It is not drilled for brakes front or rear and Doug has used a very shallow crown in order to get the 700C wheel in which I don’t think would be possible to drill. £195

CAMPAGNOLO RECORD 36H LARGE FLANGE HUBS on WEINMANN SPRINT RIMS (for tubular tyres) newly built with stainless butted spokes and only lightly used since 15T sprocket Stunning condition £145

  • me wife is going to kill me for this...

  • so is that another new seatpost in the Ted Gerrard since I sent it back or is it the same bad brazing? I would steer clear of it to be honest folks

  • there is a whole new seat-tube

  • Oh i get that, it was a new one when I bought it back in march but the brazing was a mess so it went back to Hillary. Im just making sure that it isnt been resold again in the same condition. Just looking out for people, not stirring. I loved that frame and was gutted that I had to return it, beautiful lugs.

  • That Doug Pinkerton is desperate for someone to build it up for their small girlfriend! NOW! I DON'T HAVE A GIRLFRIEND! AND IF I DID SHE'D BE A GIANT!
