@ belgiangoth - Are they defo 26mm? I've got 25.4 allready and there no use.
Right guys I'm selling my Light touring/ Audax style 531 bike. I don't think any of you are in the market for one, but if you know anyone who is pass the message along please. This will go into the general classifieds later - I'll be asking for £400 there, for you Birminghamer's I am asking £350. Viewing is welcome and encouraged, and tea will be provided.
Unfortunately it's too small for me and subsequently has not seen much use, other than a little jaunt along the Cornwall and devon coast and a few training day rides. Frameset:
50cm Square 1984 Reynolds 531ST frame built by Pennine Cycles, Bradford. 'Pennine' stamped into seatstays. Chrome Campagnolo dropouts front and rear, with Campagnolo seatbolt.
Had braze-ons for rack added later and was powdercoated a deep candy red by Doug Pinkerton. The Powdercoat is in good condition with a few chips. Recently professionally installed stronglight A9 (sealed bearing) headset and Stronglight JP400 Aluminium bottom bracket.
Wheels/Drivetrain/Brakes
All the drivetrain components below (with the exception of the shifters) were bought new and have had approx 350 miles on them. The wheels are not the ones I took touring and have had less than 100 miles use.
Tiagra Hub laced to Mach 1 Omega rims. Specialized 700x28c Armadillo tyres.
Sugino XD-2 triple Chainset 165mm with stronglight dural outer ring. 48/38/28.
Shimano Tiagra front triple and long cage rear mechs, Shimano HG50 cassette 12-25 and SRAM 9 Speed chain.
Sora STI Triple shifters paired with Tektro crosstops levers.
Shimano 105 front brake with Shimano A550 long drop rear.
