Would you be aghast if I were to run this fixed mdcc? I fully understand if so. However if so, any thoughts on magic gear possibilities?
-
• #7
If you buy it, you can cut it into bite sized chunks and eat it as far as I care :-)
Would definitely need magic gear or an Eno.
Chainstays are about 402mm, so 49/19 looks like a good starting point to find a gear. The dropouts are quite chunky, so there's room for a bit of filing to generate some wiggle room.

Trés interessant. Let me have a look through my diamond files and chainring box and I'll get back to you.

I dont get how this is still here....58.5cm lo-pro
normally all the lo-pro are small sizes, so the big guys like me look ridiculous on them, here you have a big one, and no one has snapped yet, crazy
keep it, and eventually someone will take, will be a pity just keep putting the price down -
• #13
Hi, is 155 oke?
-
• #14
No, definitely needs to be very close to £250, otherwise it might as well get destroyed as a turbo bike.
-
• #15
there was someone on here with an orbit....

• #16
Is this still available?

Is this still available?
Yes.

Would this fit me (5'11) and could you post to Brighton?
-
• #19
Yes, you should be fine for size, I'm 6'1" and my brother is 5'10", we both rode this geometry. I could post to Brighton for £15. If you don't already have parts to go on this, you may also be interested in rims and tyres, 32h Open Pro and Conti GP4000 for an extra £70.

Sorry, lack of funds and going to uni means I can't really justify buying it. Lovely frame though. Have a Bump

Hi MDCC
What is the effective top tube length?
Thanks

What is the effective top tube length?
I don't know whether that's a meaningful number with a lo-pro, but fwiw 52-53cm. If you use Cinelli LA84 bars on it, the position is the same as riding in the drops on a 57cm top tube road frame with Cinelli 63 bars if you use a 1cm shorter stem on the lo pro.

Hello - can't PM yet. Very interested - what's the best way to get in touch?
If you can do £230 I will have it
58.5cm/23.5" Brian Rourke 753 lo-pro frame & fork £300
http://jorj.co.uk/gallery/index.php?spgmGal=Rourke
58.5cm centre to centre seat tube, 9cm head tube, 650f/700r 95cm wheelbase
The colour looks a bit lighter in the photos due to flash, it's actually Gios Blue. Includes C-Record headset and Kalloy Uno 27.0 seat post. This is a UK style time trial frame from the early 1990s, so vertical dropouts and braze ons for right side only downtube gear lever. To see a frame with identical geometry built up, see http://www.fixedgeargallery.com/2009/sept/1/Jorj.htm
