I did this yesterday and can definitely recommend it. I think it'll be a regular event. Took me about ten hours to get round.
Audax events like these offer very good value for money. £10 got me a route card (& GPS tracks), two controls with a huge quantity of food & drinks laid on. Cheerful company of about 65 riders and the challenge of riding a little further than I'm used to in a day. And the bonus of waking up this morning as a bonafide Randonneur.
