He would have climbed better if he hadn't sacrificed himself for Cav.
He flogged his lungs out for hours and hours on the front, controlling the pace and chasing breaks. Many riders would get rather pissy about such donkey work but he manned up and got stuck in.
If he was protected, he'd be top 10 for sure.
