  • Sort of what other people said. From experience:

    • loosen/internally lubricate the joint before starting (just slowly putting it through its full range of motion in all axes)

    • be most careful about unnecessary snatching at the pedalstroke, especially when pushing off or accelerating

    • relax, and don't fixate on the troubled area, as it tends to make you pedal unnaturally

    • don't be afraid to pop an Ibuprofen after your ride for the first few days, as it can help to subdue mild soreness that you might misinterpret as the beginning of another massive flare-up, making you fixate on the area whilst off the bike as well, which tends to exacerbate things

    Good work on managing to rest it for so long!

    Resting was not easy. On the plus side I have read more books in the last two weeks than I have read in the last two years.
