My dad is currently working in Juba, Southern Sudan as a Diplomat. He is also a member of the Juba Rotary Club. He contacted me yesterday saying how the Rotary Club had been discussing how it would be good if there were more bicycles for the locals. I told him that there are charities that focus on that, like http://www.re-cycle.org/ but then I figured that maybe there is someone on here that might have some inside knowledge or previous experience with such charities and might have some good contacts, pointers, recommendations, suggestions?
The club has already managed to accomplish many things. The current situation of the country allows for change to actually happen over there as opposed to other places where things get lost in drawn out bureaucracy. They have previously raised and donated funds for a local orphanage. He and the rest of the club are now very keen to work alongside a bike charity in order to provide bike for the locals.
If anyone has any kind of helpful information on this I would really appreciate it.
