It doesn't matter what type bike you ride but if you bring some shit-hot road bike you may find yourself waiting around quite a bit.
Plenty of shops and stops on route but bring some water and food anyway.
Bring tools and tubes.
A puncture can be fixed in under 10 minutes, I don't want the group to have to wait longer than that, can offer assistance.
There are 4 hills but generally the route is pretty flat.
Trains:
If you are going to end at:
Herne Bay(100KMs) - you may have to disassemble your bike to get it on the train.
Margate(117KMs down beautiful coastal path) - no restrictions on bikes.
Canterbury(110KMs just south of Herne Bay) - no restrictions on bikes.
Group save now is a good idea, but cheap group save can also be purchased on the day.
My plan is to get to Herne Bay, eat their lovely fish and chips and continue onto Margate because the coastal path is worth the extra few KMs.
OK, this is in 2 weeks.
