  • 16-18T would be fine, 1/8. Thanks!

  • i got one off a charge wheel set i think! if i can find it you can have it for postage costs!

  • Got an 18tooth you can have for postage aswell, black and a bit worn but works.

  • choices!

  • Haha that's brilliant. Maybe I can take both and run a double fixed rat bike, but I'll resist being greedy!

  • Posted today mate, cost 75p so i think i can cover that ok ! You owe me a beer though.

  • double fixed as in, twin drivetrain? that would be badass!

No, I meant as in flip flop between two different cogs! But twin drivetrain would be brilliant, less wear etc. I wonder why no one has done that yet, you just need a double fixed hub, two identical cogs, chainrings, drive side cranks. Would be amazing! You could actually put two opposing freewheels on either side, when you want freewheel you just take one chain off...

Would only work with splined sprockets really as you can't guarantee where the sprocket is going to stop. It might end up bang on or it might end up half a tooth out. With a freewheel you'd have to get a decent quality one with high tpi to make sure the stress was taken up by both sprockets.

We did this with a bmx and a double fixed hub years ago, you can get bmx freewheels called southpaws which go the wrong way as well (intended for left side drive).
