  • I was name calling

  • ah there was me thinking you were wishing death onto the great french pop act...

    stand down

    at ease...

  • If this kind of thing troubles any of you, feel free to busy yourself attempting to get this put into the right section.

    It troubles me that people on here worship a smackhead.

  • don't talk about TS that way.. he just drinks and occasional smoke the rest is unconfirmed rumour

  • qwe

  • I don't care. What I care about is myself and my own habit (which is getting expensive).

    *tags ain't mine

  • It troubles me that people on here worship a smackhead.

    Like I said, tossers.

  • i won't call myself a fan on winehouse. but i can apreciate a talent,

    she wrote and performed, most singers like her in this day and age just sing.
    shes had phenomenal talent but also had problems, much like the rest of the 27 club and its bad that it happened

    i doubt any other of the current crop of 'ladys who sing soul style stuff' who are about will be remembered in years to come. whre as i can imagine that Amy WInehouse will still be played in the same way Billie Holiday is on radio 2 etc

  • Billie Holiday??? Fuck my socks.

    i find this insanely offensive.
    i find this tragic

  • Seriously, I understand that people who knew her or who really appreciated her music have all the right to be upset and shocked, but from a perspective of someone who doesn't really care much it's quite obvious were she was heading. Sad thing is, that there were nobody who'd tell her - fuck the music, money and celeb lifestyle; let's disappear and save your life! You can always make few quid when you return cleaned up. The other thing is, some people just don;t want to clean up and all they whish for is a spectacular and quick ending.

  • My facebook feed is full of fucking idiots saying things like "they tried to make her go to rehab...NOW SHE'S DEAD'

    Ooooh yeah really bloody witty.

    And they are your friends?

  • I wish you could read it in original, but this will fit well:

    *So often are you as a blazing torch,

    With flakes of burning hemp falling about you;

    Flaming, you know not if the flames freedom bring or death;

    Consuming all that you most cherish;

    If only ashes will be left and want,

    Chaos and tempest shall engulf . . .

    Or will the ashes hold the glory of a starlike diamond,

    The morning star of everlasting triumph.*

    (CK Norwid)

  • ^^ Not close friends. Mainly the friends from my childhood who decided to do nothing with their lives and become weed-smoking bums.

  • and where the fuck was eric clapton when all this happened?

    questions people... questions.

  • whre as i can imagine that Amy WInehouse will still be played in the same way Billie Holiday is on radio 2 etc

    I'm pretty sure she will be played a lot. Especially in the pseudo-independent Hollywood movies which have those MTV moments somewhere in the middle - where the main protagonist administers smack/smokes crack or sniffs coke.
    It will become a drug related novelty music - going hand in hand with addiction and self-destruction like Noddy Holder goes hand in hand with a Christmas turkey.

  • EEI is drunk.

  • Working on it. I know it shows - bit bipolar in opinions.

  • I think it is very sad that she has died, and that it's not really a surprise, which is possibly sadder.

    +1

  • Put your fucking winehouse albums away and listen to Joni Mitchell for a start.

    this^.

  • Sad to see her go as she was one of the few recent musicians who was talented. I didn't like all her songs but there was a lot of skill there

  • Christian extremist! Oxymoron of the day.
    My thoughts are with Norway

  • this is such sad news. what a waste of talent.

  • Now I hope she'll get more attention and better production (and I'm not saying that only because sh'll be marrying into our family next year)
