Yes - I had that problem, I used to roll it up and secure with rubber bands. For various reasons I ended up having the bag over my right shoulder, with the loop ending up in a potential wing-mirror catching location. Definitely needed securing.
I've just had delivered a Bagaboo which doesn't have this problem.
