Well done on the 260 and I don't blame you in the slightest for bottling it, that road is bad enough without seeing cars flying everywhere. If I do there and back next year I'm going to come back via Stapleford/Chigwell Row; I can't imagine the mileage is much different and there is a much lower death risk. And the road surfaces are much better.

Yes, I asked you. Sorry we zoomed off- I think I learnt an important lesson about pacing that day. But then again, If I'd slowed down I may well have simply started dropping off before we were anywhere near london. I'll look up the Chigwell Row route for next time.
