Pavlova
Pavlova is one of the best cakes in the universe. But not so good in the jersey pocket. Unless carried inside a hollowed-out malt loaf

Most times for me it'll be the coffee & walnut. Although I was at a place the other weekend that had this oat & date tray bake that I reckon pipped anything I've had before. Almost made up for the suffering climbing to the tea room to get it.

I'm quite into the knock off foreign strawberry Jaffa cakes we've started seeing in Tottenham.
Actual cakes though, cheesecake, although I've had issues putting that in the back pocket of a jersey.

Fruit cake all the way.
For the 'jersey pocket' I'll sometimes bring those Kelloggs Elevenses bars - very high carb and very convenient, but not a patch on proper home made cake!
QUICK SURVEY for an article I am writing:
What is your favourite cycling cake?
Mine has to be the slab of 1970s dark fruit cake at the Epping Forest Tea Hut (washed down with two cups of their polystyrene tea).
