For Sale: Crud Roadracer

I got a pair for the gears (S-works E5) and didn't have enough room on the back with 25s on, just fits with 25s but can't fit the end.

Couldn't get them on the front at all due to having aero forks, still trying to find a way to bodge.

I also lost the long tip off the rear after a couple of rides, must have been rubbing and unscrewed. still spares only cost the price of a stamp!

Ill try to take a pic and post it yuubinkyoku. And yeas, it actually says in the instructions to check and if need be retighten the screws before every ride. I don't do it every ride obviusly but every now and then I do and have no problem.

I would have thought it would have been simpler to just wrap one cable tie around the bridge and fasten the reusable one to that, which is what I did. Nice work though.

I had the same thing with my front. Rear one is fine though just snapped off at the end.

I bet they are amazing on proper road bikes, for which they were designed,

i think they are designed for proper road bikes that get used once a fortnight because it's raining

Maxcrowe - i was thinking about the way to fit them that you've described, but I was concerned that it would slide along the bridge to the sides.
It works great for me. I was opting for rear zefal swan but it covers a bit less..

If it's tight enough it won't budge. I mean they are more likely to slip the way you have them (vertically) than the way I described (horizontally).

it wouldn't slip vertically in my case because zip ties are under tension and seatstays are diverging downwards ;)

I tried to do the same, but as I was on the move at that time, this thing broke my metacarpal (or it was the 6 pints I had beforehand?).
Anyway, one of the side mounts snapped and got caught between the spokes.
Never fit one over the front wheel - a dangerous shite :-0

hopefully they're not too bad, currently on at £15 the pair at fudges... here comes the rain!

I personally haven't.. but I'm using zefal swan atm and I'm happy with it.. muuuuuch easier to take off and put back on..

Yes. I've used both.

The MK2 version provides much better coverage. No more road crap on your front derailleur, and less thrown onto the chainring. I left them fitted to my road bike (with 23c tyres) throughout the winter and they're as good as any full length guards.

There is a video on their website. Watch it before fitting. If your having problems fitting them without rubbing, then you need to watch the video again before moaning on BikeRadar :P
