I noticed that the bus lane on the A13 next to Cycle Superhighway CS3 no longer permits cycles, just taxis and motorcycles with the buses. I assume cyclists are forbidden because they are expected to use the superhighway, so now of you don't wish to roll with the CS3 nodders you're riding with the cars on the A13.
That'll make the drivers happy
Whilst it doesn't seem right i would imagine that the potential danger posed by a bus swinging out into the a13 traffic stream is far higher than other roads with bus lanes, so it may be deliberate. Lack of room to pass slow moving bicycles was the reason given for excluding bikes from the theobalds road bus lane.
Having ridden it only at non-nodder time i thought CS3 is, for the most part (canary wharf being a huge exception) bloody brilliant and you'd have to be a bit mental for wanting to ride in the road or bus lane rather than that nice wide smooth blue lane.
