I've just moved up to Liverpool - originally from Devon via NZ for 4 years. I ride fixed but on a Bob Jackson with brakes and mudguards - not skids and tricks fixed...
there are some great rides - went into lancashire last weekend - nice rolling countryside and easy to get to but potholed to buggery
