I've used the search function but can't find it. There was a post from Hippy (I think) talking about how you can make your browser 'trick' websites into thinking you are in the UK. I'm in France at the mo and want to watch somethin on iPlayer but it's geo restricted. Anyone know how to do this or better yet know where the bloody post is?
you can do it through a proxy/vpn. but I think most require you to pay a small monthly charge.
has a 14-day trial which might suit. can't claim personal experience of their service though (although they are a well known usenet provider, if not the biggest).
While there, can I use a similar VPN to pay online?
I failed to pay bills online when abroad, because Visa verification page seems to be also UK specific.
