i like my nudie jeans a lot. i have had two pairs, one broke at the crotch pretty fast and the other pair has lasted for about two years already.maybe they were a different model or something, i dont know... theyre pretty tight AKA hipster fit, but have enough stretch to be comfortable enough on shorter distances (less than 20km). i would never pay the £80 or so retail price tho, i buy everything from a fleamarket...
best cycling outfit is ofcourse merinowool longjohns and shorts on top! some nice girls asked if they can take my picture when i was wearing this highly trendy outfit while biking around amsterdam.. or was it rotterdam... anyway

Some details on the Levis commuter line; chinos with lock holsters built in etc. and looks like the Schoeller waterproofing on the denim too

if they weren't skinny I might be interested, if the bring out a 501 version...

Let's hope they've got a reinforced crotch or some sort of patch sown in otherwise they'll be pretty useless.

The link says there is a reinforced crotch (and back pockets and belt loops).
Reinforced crotches ftw!!

Urban Outfitters sale on today...all edwin half price. Thereby made my first foray into the world of premium (i.e. more than £40) denim.

We got a pair of those levis jeans in for testing at work the other day. They don't look half bad - essentially black 511s with a different, slightly stretchier material.
The belt loop's a bit of a mess though - too tight for anything other than a mini-D and given that it's integrated there's issues with wearing a belt. I'll link to the proper review once it's up.

Is this a thread about 'average' denim?
-
• #443
it's a thread about jeans people buy when they want some trousers to wear instead of buying a fashion statement to show to other people who are selvedge denim enthusiasts.
-
• #444
That's just too mainstream..
