ABCCOMM presents...
Sunday 28th August, Newington, 11am start.
A bit of a variation on the ABC tournament, I'll be organising a Bench Minor style tournament, with teams of 5-6 players each, 20-30 minute games, and rather than chosen randomly, the teams will be drafted by captains.
Anyone who wants to be a captain can put their name forward, then they will draft from the pool of available players, with the order of drafting randomly chosen for the first round, and then reversed for every following round.
If there are more people wanting to be captains than teams we will have to draw the captains.
The games will be at Newington, the goals are big enough for 2/3 subs.
It will be a £1 entry fee, like the ABC, going to the LHBPA.
It's meant to be a fun tournament, played in the spirit of the ABC, so I don't expect people to travel from far for it, and I wouldn't be sorting out housing or anything, but anyone is welcome to come, from A players to beginners, London and non-Londoners.
We will draft the teams a couple of days before the tournament, so you need to be on the list before then, if you want to play. If you are on the list, and then pull out it will mess things up, so please only add yourself if you are sure you can play.
Each team will need to chose a colour, and everyone will need to come wearing that colour.
We will use the standard LHBPA rules, except where making changes for the Bench Minor style, such as unlimited goals.
The format will probably by Swiss Rounds followed by single elim, as in the ABC, but the exact format will depend on the number of teams.
