Those Dolans are earning their keep.

• #205
Look where you're going, not down at the ground!
-
• #206
hahaha! thats why they get a lap on the safetyzone to start
-
• #207
Have you thought about starting them from the fence? so they can get clipped in beforehand, then ride down onto the safety zone.
You start from the inner rail on indoor tracks quite often but you don't have an inner rail. They shouldn't really be clipping in as they ride along like roadies.

give me chance, these lot will get to do rolling starts next session ;-)
aware that its the best way at tracks with railings, as we just bring them back up, then explain things, then back on again. -
• #209
It's actually better to start and stop novices straight away from the perimeter fence. Especially when using clips and straps.
I understand the straights at BCC are pretty flat? -
• #210
yeah theres plenty of room there.

Little bump for Herne Hill Velodrome's trip to Bournemouth on the 31st of July. We have enough riders for a decent group but more = merrier and cheaper.
If anyone's intending to come, but hasn't let me know yet, please do!
