Ditto. I haven't even bought the things I need to pack, I'm watching the tdf in my pants and my bike is in pieces.
You've got a telly in them? That's cool, I'm just watching it in my living room.

Only if you have special needs. Otherwise I have ibprofen and paracetemol and the car to sit in. Anything that requires more than that means ill be calling in the professionals. Dike you know you aren't meant to have plasters in a first aid kit now incase someones allergic to it?!?!? Its a fucking plaster! What's allergic about it?!? Im not having that responsibility.
/nodoctor
They can be allegric to the latex in some plasters and the adhesive, the adhesive allergy will bring you out in a rash, a latex allergy can send someone into anaphylaxis in seconds. Same reason why you should not have latex gloves in a first aid kit and why hospitals use the more expensive vinyl gloves instead of latex ones

I'm thinking a Superwick big breakfast from the wick cafe might be a good start to the days eating. Pasta can wait until later.

Don't listen to your body, it's infected.

Leave it till later to decide. It's not worth making yourself really ill for.
If you don't do the ride it just makes a perfect excuse to do another ride to Dunwich in a few weeks. :] -

The stuff in front of the bag is the stuff i want to take with :-(
Iain darling, I took much less than that on the 600km 3 days ride.
Secondly, go to a outdoor shop and ask for compressor, they'll reduced the size of your clothes massively.

novice question. once you put on chamois cream do you need to reapply? ie. do i need to take it with me because it's just more weight
put some in a twist of clingfilm, and then inside another container (like a small plastic bag or the small box thingy that park patches come in).

Once you have enough food, you won't be too spent.

My 2 cents: suncream (for that sleep on the beach, just as a bit of UV peeps through the clouds in the morning)

Right i'm off to Sainsbury's for some last minute sarnie fillings and jelly babies, catch you all in a bit!
Off to the Rye for lunch soon :P
@shoots, route PMed, will keep an eye out for you. I think I've got some kind of glowsticky attachment I'll have on the back of the helmet or jacket or bike or something to draw attention to myself
@everyone: i am putting mudguards on the bike. wet arse over that distance is unpleasant, drowning in the spray of the person in front of you is unpleasant. don't be an idiot.
@iain: as much fun as a wom wom wom wheel is, I don't think tonight's the night :(
