Rob from Autechre copied me some 3.5" floppy disks of filter effects for my Ensoniq EPS 16+.
Cool story, bro.

I’ve also got that book. Bought it years ago, lent it to a mate who never returned it. So I set him on fire.
Lo and behold quite recently I popped into the Goodge Street branch of Oxfam and there was a copy of it for £1. We are happily reunited. Good read.

the chapter techno travellers is the relevant one in it.
i.m.o the CJA just sent the travellers to Europe to party and live, which was one the main effects, you can see it over the last few years that Spain and Portugal have got it going on because of the lax laws and better culture for partying.
its not quite right to say that clubbing started after C.J.A because clubbing/house was well established before 1992, from where Im standing the travellers came along and discovered there was good drugs to be had, so started raving, now they do it in Spain.
anyway Im sposed to be working -

Bump: Last call for anyone who missed it... (i'll let the thread die a death after this, but it would be nice to hit 200 responses- currently 172)
We all had to hang around and listen to that Autechre track that doesnt have any repetitive beats in it
