Thank you. Ed did a good job with the write up.
Thanks everybody for all of the kind words. Can't tell you enough how much the words of encouragement and generous donations made it worthwhile.

Wish I could donate more.
Can I link your/Ed's write up to Southwark Cyclists' site?
I am sure our members would love to hear your story.

Anything is fantastic and even just reading about WfW is really appreciated if people can't afford to donate.
Of course you can link, no problem.

And yes Russell, I leaned like the earth was flipping off its axis.
Who is up for joining me for London to Glasgow?

shit fellas, epic ride indeed, wish I'd been around to ride you in the last bit, according to your garmin data map thing, you would have got so close to my house if you climbed a tree you would have seen it, a 10min ride away :p
Whats next though, London to Zurich/Munich/Bordeaux/Troindheim in 4days? -
• #62
Didn't realise you lived that close BrickMan, sorry we didn't give you a head-up, would've been great to ride with you down the finish line.

Who is up for joining me for London to Glasgow?
Possibly.
I'm currently on for London to Edinburgh, over August 20th - 22nd (I'm visiting my old man), but why not London to Glasgow, if the timing's feasible.
Small acorns, an' all that.

He's not joking.

when you thinking of doing it? -

just adding to the general chorus of appreciation: fantastic achievement, and unmistakably great write-up...though grammarians across the land now fear for their life as they realise they are losing their grip. it's a siskel & ebert from me.

I was away over side of the pennies on a mini tour ride, but if I was around I would have enjoyed stealing your limelight :p

That sounds mini indeed. :)

how many days you planning on doing that in?
Three.
Top ride, chaps, BTW. By the sound of things it really blew the doors off. Ed, I spotted you a week or so before you set off, stopped up at a light in Balham. I wondered if the trip was on your mind.

Probably, I now work and live in Wimbledon so I was heading up to London to gather supplies for the ride.

WfW will be in Brockwell Park at Lambeth Country Show all weekend, distributing information about the services they offer, including a session between 2-3 today where all people can try the different types of cycles they use, including handcycles, side by side tandems, trikes and recumbent trikes.
The sessions are running on the tennis courts, and the WfW stand will be in the Activate Zone, (wo)manned by LittleHeather today. Pop by and say hello, and find out about the amazing work they do. Presents of hot coffee will no doubt be appreciated if the weather doesn't improve.
lovely read guys - inspiring
