  • ^Oh. Crispy G. Someone's not read the small print. Or any print for that matter. May be doing this by default. Maybe.

  • Fuck that, I only go on the Rapha website for the pictures.

  • I'm still waiting for a proper competition - "put two stone in two weeks" or "who can do more pints after an 8 miles ride".

  • Rapha Rising - remember the Festive 500...

I'm off to the Alps on Saturday for a week of riding up Cols, could be halfway to the prizes* when I get back

*though in all likelyhood I won't be anywhere near that

  • Anyone want to swap a Rapha classic jersey? Black size large is too loose on me - I'm after a medium.

  • What colour & price dave?

  • rapha arm warmers for sale, used once. black with white stripe.

    £20 pm me

Sorry, just read your post properly.
    I need sleep

  • Just received my white lightweight jersey. Mostly see through and not good for women. Anyone have the blue or the lime and can tell me if they're less see through? Eeesh.

Got the blue one, it's not see through.

  • Is there a time in the year when Rapha often discount their baselayers?

I was hoping it might be the height of summer, but nothing yet.

  • how about a 3 pack?

  • Yep. Nice, but a bit pricey.

I'm sure at some point last year the 3 pack was reduced to £90 ish.

  • You could always use the survey11 code... a further 15% off.

  • Cheers.

I've not been getting their promo emails so perhaps have missed that one.

    Thanks again.

  • No worries... it's posted further up in the thread as well. You got the code for completing their market research last month.

I'd also forgotten and have just purchased some nice gloves. (still a bit pricey)

Base layers are available in their sale - as and when they hold it. Normally rent a shop to get rid of all old stock for a couple of days. As you can imagine its queues out the door the whole time and an elbow fest once inside.

    Prices plummet though.

Meant to say - last one was Dec / Jan time I think.

  • Merino Socks for £15, or Team Pro socks for £12.50?

  • I'd go Merino

  • Recommend the merino 3-pair bundle for £30 instead of one pair for £15. I was glad I did.

  • or just gets three pairs of merino socks from m&s for 12 quid.

  • ^ is that based on your experience of using them for cycling?

And have you used any other 'cycling socks'?

    Cheers.

and @ pharoahsanders - cheers for the 3pack tip.

  • ^don't forget to use your discount code!

  • ^ survey11 is the code btw...

Yeah i use them for cycling. they are comfy, don't cause much sweat, are warm enough on summer night rides etc. what you want really. but the only other 'cycling socks' i have are waterproof sealskinz, so can't really say if the rapha ones would perform better, but come on they are just socks!
