personally we're not in London, so even a small cable lock should be enough, although this is my first DD run, I don't know if thieves is a problem in the countryside, especially in the middle of the night.
the question you'll ask yourself is this - how often are you going to leave your bike?
You shouldn't really need a lock at all. All my eating will be done on the bike or next to it, generally you'll be round a lot of other people, with bikes who have no way of stealing yours.
I really wouldn't bother It's just extra weight.
On the conversation of weight I'm really going to try and reduce my kit down. I've got the rack bag if I need it but would rather stick to my small saddle bag and jersey (fingers crossed)
I might even resort to wearing full length bibs so I don't have to carry leg warmers.
