i'm a little worried about the fuel stop - will they have enough for the horde of zombie cyclists heading toward the sea?

They will probably have enough, the question is do you want to wait in a queue for half an hour plus to get to it? In my experience of the past three years, it's best to be self sufficient food-wise and just make use the shelter of the village hall.

I've taken this attitude as well. Rather than queue up I'll take my own food, sandwich and a scotch egg. Job done.

Ideally I'd love to have beans in a thermos flask but they won't keep warm for that long.
