  • they were saying that it was you. i was saying no! with the bike loaded at the back?
    hi EEI

Ha! I put on weight from lack of exercise and got scobled in the meantime.
I was actually on my way back from a shoot with all the photo gear on the bike - better than taking the car everywhere.

  • props to the DICK riding a black iro frame with what looked like some high vis yellow spoke cards and wearing a stinking brown hat. rides past loads of stationary traffic awaiting a red light on clerkwell road near farringdon station, goes threw the red light riding 2mph on the phone then gets hit from the side from a moterbike, fortunately the motercyclist was riding really slow/aware otherwise you both couldve been seriously injured or worse.
hope this names and shames the prick involved!!

  • keiran opposite whitworth park half an hour ago. i was in a hurry cos someone was waiting in for me, or i would've swung round to say hello

  • 2 things you don't see often;

    1 - man wearing a kilt riding a bike.

2 - little ne'er-do-well of no more than 6 years of age in the passenger seat of a parked car, aggressively flicking his middle finger at all who passed.

sounds like a interesting ride home.

    that was Damo

  • Oh. Maybe there's another Ellis Briggs on the route, but that seems unlikely.

Puzzled now. Still, at least that means I'm not going mad when I thought the rider looked rather different.

Hah! Just embarrassed myself with a complete stranger. Good one.

Saw it again today. Yes, there is another red/chrome Ellis Briggs commuting on CS7.

Not sure how I could have made the mistake, though - this one is a 12-speed with drop bars (red cloth tape)! The rider is a strawberry blonde with a pony tail.

Odd that a marque which is pretty rare even in the West Riding should have two such similar examples on the same route in Londonton.

  • Manc Ronnie at 8.30 on Burton Road. good to see you sir! shame i was going the other way.

and what a beautiful sunny morning :) it's good to be alive

  • Somebody who was either TS or his doppelganger, heading south along Ash Place (little roundabout-strewn road between Cromwell and Brompton Roads) as I was heading north.

  • econodog on farringdon st looking smart. catch you on saturday, dude.

  • People getting busted by John Law in Dalston for RLJing.

  • dicki on Old Street last night as I was on my way to LMNH. I saw you too late to shout anything. Hello!

Later, while we were standing in the LMNH yard, a possible Hobo spot among a lot of runners running west along Old Street?

  • Flying down the A3 past Kingston Uni yesterday evening bloke maybe wearing a forum cap. Gone pretty quick so I didn't get a proper look.

I saw him riding blind through the red lights and on the phone at the Old st/ Golden Lane junction.Must've been just before he got hit further up the road.

  • I just shouted at Reen on Essex Road, he made a very confused noise so probably didn't recognise me cos I was on a different bike from last time. It's been too long mate!
