Whatever you do, don't buy the homebase / B&Q cheap white paint.
I did that last weekend and I had to go back and get a decent make as the paint was too thick and not easy to paint at all.
Homebase does the Dulux Matt Emulsion 5l for £13.98, it's brilliant paint for the money so I would go and get that if I were you... you can keep the leftovers for your next flat...

Hi,
I'm moving out of my flat in Hackney E8 next week, and I need some cheap white matt emulsion to cover up the marks on the walls left by polyfilled holes and various bike marks.
Anybody, preferably in/around Hackney, got any spare before I buy some? Though I'd check since the cheap sort usually comes in giant 5L tubs, so someone's bound to have some left over...
Could also do with a couple of sanding patches to sand down the polyfilled holes actually, but I'm sure I'll find them somewhere else.
Cheers
