its very rare each individual building has its own security, often they are just centrally based and call on each property from time to time randomly, or after an alarm will make their way there, no matter what you've always got about 10minutes.

Last night I went to this pop-up bar in Dalston Market with some friends and at some point I had to leave
to get some cash. As I approached the cash machine (at the eastend of the market), I see a
VW minicab parked right in-front of the cash machine, the driver was out. I assumed it was just someone
going to take some cash out, but as got closer I could see that he was leaning on this parked bike -
blue Basso, geared, with flat bars - the fucking cunt was taking the back wheel. Yes, the minicab driver.
I took him 10secs. BY the time I realized he was nicking the wheel e just chucked it in the back seat and left.
I saw the plate and left a note on the bike.
Let me know if you're the one, or if you know who's the owner.
I totally remember the guy's face. -

F&F RECOVERED.
I'm down a set of wheels, bars, stem, post and seat, but a big thanks to the staff at Condor.
No luck finding better images, but I've mocked up the Condor graphic which appears about 5cm long on the tt in flame red, and black-on-black on the forks and downtube (larger on the dt, 20cm). Thanks for reading.
nb, just to say again, this bike is not the stolen one, just very similar, see the previous page for correct details -

Details man! We need details.

red batavus professional nicked (along with charge mixer) Exmouth Market - today at 5pm.
bought on the forum a year and a half ago and done some serious miles since....lifted from outside cafe nero in very busy conditions. they c^nts were so obvious someone had already called the cops by the time we got there (i had checked on the bikes no more than fifteen minutes previously).
my mate had forgotten his lock so we locked both bikes with my cable. two for one must have proven irresistable. right under a cctv camera as well....apparently pics of the guys eyeing them up, but nothing incriminating. the rozzers seemed fairly proactive - got a call an hour later asking for more details of the bike, since they had stopped a 'known' on a red road bike.....but alas, not the battybus.
seriously painful. and the DD only five days away.....

I am writing to reply to London Courier. Oh dear Alex, did you really have to lower yourself to a campaign of smearing an establishment which has been a supporter of couriers in London?
To everyone else reading, this post is due to Alex having his bike top tube scratched outside the shop today. He demanded an excess of money to respray the bike, I offered to touch up a scratch.
So there it is, someone doesn't get their way, and they resort to blackmail. What does everyone else think, and is this really the forum for petty squabbles?
-
• #6743
Well, I've never heard of full city or London courier, but FYI I had already googled 'full city stolen bicycle' (I also tried 'fullcity' since I don't know the shop and didn't know if it was one word or two) to see if it was a place known on forums as handling stolen bikes. I did that as soon as I read the post.

I've just had my bike stolen from inside my mansion block in Clapton. No picture as yet, will try and find a good one, but if anyone sees a light green, mid to late 80's Bianchi racer, with yellow saddle, blue drop handle bars, chrome finish Peugeot forks and with a bottom bracket set unusually close to the ground, it belongs to Georgia on 07870 260 176. Unfortunately I never quite got around to registering the serial number. I know it's a needle in a haystack, but it's worth asking
I'll be doing the Brick Lane run this weekend, but I thought I should mention there's a bike shop on Chatsworth Road and Well Street in Hackney that people in the area have found their stolen bikes at, so if you lose one in East London it's worth giving those a look.

Had my dad's Holdsworth (well it was a Holdsworth frame but the parts were a mixed bag) pinched from outside my house near Stockwell a few weeks ago. Red taped handlebars and black frame about all there was to distinguish it. I'm pretty much reconciled to its loss (I've found crying into my pillow helpful) but thought I should at least put it out there.

red batavus professional nicked (along with charge mixer) Exmouth Market - today at 5pm.
That must have made you sick to the stomach. Will keep an eye out. Does it still have the saddle with the red bit at the back?
-
• #6747
That Batavus is one of the most beautiful bikes stolen recently. :(
-
• #6748
Do you have any evidence to back any of this up?
yes. speak to superted and speak to staff in condor if you really give a shit.
i'm not alex, and this isn't blackmail.

Yep, bummer. Who will want to buy my seriously hammocky green Brooks?
Stolen today (13th July) on corner of Crossway and John Campbell Rd in Dalston, London between 9 and 11pm. Another guy's Brooks was swiped as well.
Green Brooks B17 Special with copper rivets on black Condor seatpost. One of the rear rivets is a little sharp and the metal Brooks sign is wobbly. Oh yeah, and the saddle fits my balls perfectly...
Drop me a line if anyone spots it...

You want a stolen saddle to replace your stolen saddle? Don't get it
Someone call the fuzz! Jeez!
