Just thought I'd get into the spirit of things and drop-out too. I'll just celebrate Independence Day weekend like a proper American.

I think to show off polo as something fun and not something ridiculous you need 6 competent players to play an exciting and fast game. Three of us knocking the ball around pleading for beginners to join in will show the game in a negative light and be counterproductive imo. I first saw polo in these conditions and thought it was laughable and it put me off for years.

Also, I get one day a week off with the missus, which I usually half-fill with polo, so when turnout is shit I'd prefer to do that. Also also, the park guy and/or local football dads gave us grief last year, and I'd rather not stir the pot for the sake of an hour of the goalie game.

I'm out unless we get six. Too much shit to do for 2v2s. Even if we do get six, I may not get there til 7.30 (which is usually when decent games start anyway). Depends.

I looked at the met office forecast this morning and it actually didn't even know it was currently raining. Said it was going to be dry all day too. Stupid flipping forecasters.

Just a little reminder, we've got the ABC tournament on Saturday, at Newington, you guys are more than welcome to come.

The basic idea is to divide everyone into A, B and C players, and then draw random teams with one player from each, so that teams are roughly equal.

I rode my hybrid into work, so no way I can get there before 7.30 anyway.

Andy has no bike but is coming anyway I think. I'm STILL trying to get a fucking tyre on my back wheel. Fuck being a weak ass girl is so demoralising.

Can't make Sunday, unless the Tuesday evening idea about pushing it back to the afternoon/evening comes to fruition. If it does, can someone text me?
