Woop! T4ny4 is ensconced in the house and planning on coming tomorrow, and have talked Guapo & my friend Caroline into coming! I have to install the front brake caliper on the Somec and she'll be able to ride a bike that doesn't lose the front wheel and fork if you lift it up too fast by the handlebars!

C reckons to give Aram the directions to our house, and they'll go to the pub!

On the train home, I was asked by a 4 year old if I wanted to be his sweetie. AWWW! lololol He was asking us what all our bikes were called and I said mine is Leifje, which means "sweetie" in Dutch.

Welcome south Tanya!
Hmm, I wander how quickly this might get confusing..
Anyway, from this tanya, I'd like to say thanks for organising this. Just got back now, sorry about the train confusion at the end. Wanted to say that it was a really nice ride and much appreciated.
p.s this is the tape L&W http://www.kinesiotaping.com/

Thanks for organising L&W.Great ride, nice pace and great company - and no punctures even on the gravelly bit!
Don't worry about the train mix up, we were about to go to the pub over the road to wait, when they started closing up the station - the train we got was the last one! So we ended up waiting on the platform and getting straight on, which proved a good idea as several other people with bikes were trying to get on shortly afterwards. -

Fantastic ride - beautifully organised (no wonder it took 6 hours to recce . . .) So glad you got on the train at last. Thanks so much everyone for a really great day!
Bottom quite sore today - must get out on my bike more. Was wondering if we shouldn't have a string where we embed gps routes for all our rides, then if just a couple of people want to go at short notice, there would be a fantastic ride for them to pick? Mind you - I am probably volunteering work for someone else as my ride goes from home.
Have thought of an easier way to do it - if we upload the rides to Garmin Connect, then we can include a link on here and people can just download it (although they probably need to have a login to Garmin) - then we can include a quick description of the ride to help people choose.

If anyone wants the route in a format which I understand can be converted to Garmin, etc, then I can mail it across - I don't think that we can link to uploadable files from the Forum - I tried when I was setting out the route.

This is the link to the map file I had in my Garmin yesterday
[ame]http://www.gpsies.com/map.do?fileId=rtllqdkemswlaqhy[/ame
%5B%2Fame]you can export this to all sorts from gpsies, including .tcx which meant i could put it in as a course and follow it. It's a good site for creating routes that you can export to work with pretty much anything.
I'll upload the route recording from the garmin tonight if I have time.

Jayloo, I think you were/are after a Carradice Bagman q/r sport? *Wiggle have them for a shade under £30 as opposed to £43 seen elsewhere.
Like the others, fab day yesterday with great company. That little boy on the train was lovely. A player in the making I suspect :-)
Clefty, after dithering for ages, I've now ordered the lowsaddle longflap via Margaret @ Carradice. Yay!
*at least, I hope what I've ordered is the complete item!
All set for tomorrow?
I have a bunch of the maps printed out, spoke cards are about to be laminated.
See y'all at 10am at Richmond station - just outside to the right in front of Costa. My number is zerosevenninehundred twosixeighttwozerosix.
