genuine question - did they make time trial specific bikes in the 60s and 70s?
-
• #3
yes - tt specific since the beginning! i have a 70's MKM which is pretty suitable only for tt's

interesting. pic?
what were the main differences?

short as hell wheelbase, lower front end, different wheel sizes, more aggressive angles
mine has a very very short wheelbase
brakes on! by monomaniac(tom), on Flickrbut other things are clamps on the saddles and unusual stem/bar setups

That bike of yours Tilover, looks like it could be fitted in a Smart car - does it move well?
Best,

it's only a recent build and not quite there yet (rear 3 speed fixed being built) so not really ridden it yet!
i love the quality and the look and the heritage (was built about a mile from my home in harrogate) but realistically it's too small for me - am going to stubbornly fully build it and ride it the rest of the summer anyway though
:)
Hi,
Still looking for an older Time Trial bike, steel frame etc size 22-23.5 inches and must be complete and in half decent nick.
I love time trialling, prefer older bikes so anyone who can help and give an old bike a second or third lease of life please get in touch. I can view/collect from London area.
Thanks
Shaun
