How can I prove that someone has been receiving my emails and is a big fat liar?! I've copied and pasted the time stamped emails to this person and they still deny receiving any of them, yet they replied to my first initial e-mails. Arghhhhh. My email is @gmail.com and there's is @me.com I think.

Depends on the kind of self employment. As a sole trader, I style myself 'Proprietor'

The e-mail address I used when I was self employed last year has recieved the following e-mail from the address customs@hmrc.gov.uk
"Dear Applicant:
Following an upgrade of our computer systems and review of our records we have investigated your payments and latest tax returns over the last five years our calculations show that you have made over payments of GBP £*.
Due to the high volume of refunds due you must complete the online application, the telephone help line is unable to assist with this application. In oder to process your refund you will need to complete the application form attached to this email.Your refund may take up to 3 weeks to process please make sure you complete the form correctly.NOTE: If you've received an Income Tax ‘repayment’ it will either be following a claim you've made or because HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) has received new information about your taxable income or entitlement to allowances. The refund may come through your tax code or as a payment and could relate to the current tax year or earlier years.
An Income Tax repayment is a refund of tax that you've overpaid. So, if you've paid too much tax for example through your job or pension this year or in previous years HMRC will send you a repayment. You'll get the repayment by bank transfer directly to your credit or debit card.

We get these all the time at work, it's a scam.

Aside from all the other really obvious tip-offs that it's a phishing attack, does thins look like the nerve centre of HMRC computer ops

Send an email with an image hotlinked to a website where you can access the web logs - then you can see that they have viewd the email & viewed the image.
Worthwhile email clients default block remote content for exactly this reason, so your method is contingent of the receiver being stupid enough to allow remote content from a sender he presumably already mistrusts.

I heard back from HMRC, surprise surprise, it's a scam.
If anyone's into scammer baiting, feel free to go waste their time!

Anyone knows where I can get a Micro 4/3 (Olympus Pen) to Nikon AI lens adapter in the UK/London? Apart from those very expensive Voigtlander ones.
Somehow don't trust cheap generic Chinese adapters from eBay and it takes too long. I had one M42 to Nikon and it was badly machined.

How little can I spend to get a PAYG phone that'll work in France and Spain for a fortnight?

I have these bars angled to give a flat transition from the flat to the hoods (in fact it's angled slightly upward given the location of the hoods).
Now, given how tiny the "flat" section of the drop is, would these have been designed to be run rotated downward quite a bit, so that the flat section would be parallel with the ground, or close to it?
-
• #14317
no. there is a handlebar thread where this flat transition is discussed as is the desire to have a 'wheelbarrow' type drop as well as a flat not hooked top's transition.
those in the pic are slightly gunslinger style though -
• #14318
Gunslinger?
I'll look out the thread.

^ Nice resource!

No mention of "Gunslinger" though.

wrists angled right back as if you are pointing/aiming 2 imaginary pistols with your hands.
-
• #14323
I'll angle them down a little, see how that feels.
