Just came back from a ride on unlit country roads using a Smart Lunar 35 Lux front light, with my cousin riding alongside using a Cateye EL530. We were only able to see maybe 20 metres ahead, which restricted us to around 17-18 mph (as a guess). My worry is that it may be a bit sketchy descending any hills, fixed, at night - with limited capacity to see ahead. Is this a problem, or should I just HTFU/ invest in a stronger light?
