We're camping every night! We only stopping at places beginning with B so our route is:
Day 1: Birmingham to London 109 miles
Day 2: London to Calais (eurotunnel) then onto Bourbourg 88 miles
Day 3: Bourbourg to Bruge 53 miles
Day 4: Bruge to Brussels 60 miles
Day 5: Brussels to Best 73 miles
Day 6: Best via Bruggen to Bottrop 85 miles
Day 7: Bottrop to Bielefeld (possibly via Beckum) 90 miles
Day 8: Bielefeld to Bremen 83 miles
Day 9: Bremen to Bleckede 90 miles
Day 10: Bleckede to Breese 60 miles
Day 11: Breese to Berlin 88 miles -

Nah, we just passed through. Not worth stopping, only about 40 miles out of Berlin. We just loved the name though, imagined it would be like some Mad Max wasteland. Love the B theme though. We had a chicken theme, we just ate shit loads of fried chicken.

I'm currenlty living in berlin at the moment, shall be leaving to go back to england in a couple of months, was thinking of cycling back to london, how long did it take?

8 days going via Amsterdam riding for the group of us that went that direction, worked out at about 100 miles a day.

I'm gonna be in Berlin on the 17th, looking to buy a cheapish tourer/racer there to ride down to the black forest on... anybody got ideas of a good place to get a bike over there? Been checking ebay, other than that, totally clueless.

Yeah, you'll be fine! We were doing it on track bikes. You'll see signs to plenty of camping sites signs and the R1 goes through plenty of forests that you can just camp in anyway.
